Assessment Task 1 Instructions
You will conduct research into an industry topic, problem or issue of your choice. Based on this research, you will develop a single major research output whose authentic context and audience are professional communications industries or an imagined ‘client’. Examples of the professional research and practice work you may produce include a business plan, submission to government, report, script, pitch, design, campaign, website, or portfolio. Your professional research project must include details of the project design based on literature review and discipline specific research; data collection and analysis and professional practice carried out for the project; and findings and outcomes of the project.
Length
Equivalent to 7,000 words in project work – as negotiated with the Unit Chair and supervisory teaching team, and documented in your research proposal and project plan.
Weighting
This assessment task is worth 70% of your overall mark for the unit.
Due date
Monday 16 September 2024, by 8pm AEST.
