Project Scope:
RMIT is planning to hold the high-impact fashion runway event to raise awareness on how Australian fashion industry is vibrant. The scope of the project is to plan the successful event management of RMIT Fashion Runway in Melbourne, Australia. Priority will be given to fresh fashion graduates of RMIT in the event. The main focus of the event will be to offer a premium platform for emerging designers while placing young fresh RMIT fashion graduates amongst the very best of their field. The event will look at emerging designers for cues on the future of fashion industry in Australia. The proposal of event will contain a list of venues, event activities, promotion plan, budget analysis, risk analysis, stakeholders’ analysis, key performance criteria, timelines and monitoring/implementation of the integrated event plan.
Project Sponsors:
Sponsorship plan is a coordinated approach through which the companies successfully integrate sponsorship with its marketing activities (Preston, 2012). In order to achieve the funds of $60,000, a sponsorship plan will be developed. Two sponsorship packages are offered for this event i.e. Gold and Silver package.
Gold Sponsorship Package:
Under this package, the sponsors will be promoted as Gold partners for the investment of $30,000 + GST for achieving benefits as listed below:
- VIP reserved seats for 10 VIP guests
- Advertisement on TV and flyers
- Logo on RMIT website
- Logo on entry passes with 5.5cms by 7.5 cms
Silver Sponsorship Packages:
By holding a silver sponsorship package, the sponsors will be able to get promotion by investing $20,000 + GST for the following benefits below:
- 3 entry passes with 3 VIP seats for VIP guests
- Name on RMIT website
- Name on entry passes
- Advertisement on flyers through brand name

Project Manager
Project team members
A team of reliable and enthusiastic people will help in organizing the whole event (Frisby & Getz, 2009). The team members will meet at-least once a week for updating each other about the event planning progress. The table below shows the name, designation and role of the team members.
Objective:
The goal of this project is to generate interest from target audiences by creating an event action plan that RMIT can execute in March, 2020. The objectives of this runway show are to:
- Display of the latest fashion trends
- Create stylish environment for the show
- Bring recent graduated designers, clients and people with display houses together
- Give fresh graduated designers an opportunity to showcase their collection
- Have a location fit for 500 people
- Give designers and display house owners a good audience
