Ed Hub (Hub for Education and Visa services) is a new start-up company that will offer its services to both local and international students to study in Australia. The main service would be education consultation, for students struggling to decide on what course they should study and which university to study from. Ed Hub will have its main office in Melbourne, that will be acquired in one of the shared office space and another office will be open in the target market i.e. India. 

Ed Hub vision is to expand its operation in countries like China, Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan and European countries. Ed Hub will offer internship opportunities to its students and will also offer a Professional Year program, later on once it start recruiting students from India. 

Reason for Selecting Education/Career Consultation Service

According to a latest report being published by Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), its very clear that from 2017-2018 there’ an increase in total number of international students in Australia. The total worth of international education is $32.4 Billion for the Australian Economy (Sherrell. H & Ferguson. H, 2019). 

For the year of 2018, the overall International Education accounted for 68.5% that is $22.2 Billion (Sherrell. H & Ferguson. H, 2019). This clearly indicate the potential of recruiting students from overseas for Australian Colleges and Universities. Based on the potential of this service in the Australian Market, Ed Hub is being formed. As shown in the graph below, that there’s been an increase in the overall number of enrolments of overseas students in Australian colleges and Universities.

Based on the above graph, it is very clear that the higher education market of Australia has a high potential, as there’s been a massive increase in the total number of international students. 

Target Market

At present, international students that are studying in Australia are coming from almost every corner of the world. However, there are few countries that are top on the list. The reason we have picked India as our target market for our service is because of the fact that India is the second largest market after China to recruit students from.
