Project quality comprises of the activities and processes necessary for the determination of quality objectives, policies and responsibilities for the purpose of meeting the needs of the project (A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, 2004). A quality management system can be developed and implemented upon the completion of the following stages in the Plan Quality Management process (Juran & Godfrey, 1999):
Stage 1: Planning Quality Management
Identification of the quality standards and setting a criterion for success and failure.
Stage 2: Performing Quality Assurance
Analysis of the quality measurements and then determining the rate of success and failure of the quality of project.
Stage 3: Controlling Quality
Taking measures to ensure quality while making the relevant changes to the plan of project quality.
A project quality plan is created through this process. This plan consists of the of all the quality requisites of the project. Besides, the project quality plan also comprises of the processes and activities that will be used to study the size and impact of the quality problems, and remedies to correct them.
