INVESTED CAPITAL  Definition: Invested capital refers to the amount that both the owners and the shareholders of a business invest in a business in form of money or resources.  When businesses require capital, they obtain it through shares or through the issuance of bonds.  When the business uses bonds, it generates debtholders  On the contrary, using shares generates shareholders.  Either of them have a crucial role to the decision making process of the business. (Lee, 2018)

IMPORTANCE OF INVESTED  First, it provides a source of funding to the business for different in different investment initiatives.  Used by the business when purchasing fixed assets.  Facilitates the daily operating expenses of the business. (Lee, 2018)

CALCULATING INVESTED CAPITAL  Network working Capital- Calculated by subtracting the liabilities that have no interest from the current operating assets.  The formula below indicates how the invested capital can be calculated
