This assessment involved constructing a structured proposal table to support a qualitative research study focused on teaching large primary school classes in an ESL context. Two key components were completed: a review of relevant literature and a defined data collection method. A systematic literature review was selected as the primary method for gathering data, emphasizing themes such as classroom discipline, learner motivation, cultural influences on second-language writing, and the challenges of teaching diverse learners. The literature highlighted barriers commonly faced in large ESL classrooms, particularly with Arabic-speaking primary students, and pointed to opportunities in professional development and culturally responsive teaching strategies. These insights were critically documented to guide the research design and provide a theoretical foundation for future components of the proposal. The table format allowed for clear alignment between research purpose, data source, and context, supporting the development of an inquiry project relevant to international education and multilingual classroom settings.
