NGR 6850 2 AGREE II INSTRUMENT DOMAIN 1. SCOPE AND PURPOSE1StronglyDisagree234567 Strongly Agree 1.The overall objective(s) of the guideline is (are)specifically described. X Comments: The overall objective is specifically described well and throughout this Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG). Itstates, "Should palliative care concurrent with oncology care be standard practice?"(Ferrell et al., 2017). 2.The health question(s) covered by the guideline is(are) specifically described. X Comments: Even though the article states "advanced cancer and their caregivers" I do not feel that there were a lot of health questions covered by the guideline. The article does go on to ask "Which patients should be offered or referred to palliative care services, and when in their disease trajectory; are there triggers that should be used to prompt specialty palliative care referrals"(Ferrell et al., 2017)? However, when dealing with such a sensitive topic such as cancer and palliative care I feel that there a lot more health questions that could be asked. As stated in this CPG "Patient, caregiver, and clinician communication is a foundation of palliative care"(Ferrell et al., 2017). Therefore, I believe more health questions should have been addressed in this article.
