Sentencing, this is after the verdict has been made, should the jury come back and say the individual is guilty, and then the sentence or consequence is chosen. 8. Appeal, after being sentenced, the individual has the right to appeal the court's decision. Similarities and Differences Identify 2-3 key differences and similarities and differences between civil and criminal juries. Similarity: consequences: If found guilty, bothcourts will have consequences.Difference: If found guilty in criminal court, chances are, consequence will be jail time. Where as in civil court, it will be more like fees or fines. Similarity: Juries in both courts decide on averdict.Difference: The verdict in criminal court is "guilty or not guilty".In civil cases, the verdict is "liable or not liable". Similarity: Agreeing on a verdict.Difference: In a criminal case the jury must make a unanimous decision on the verdict.In civil court only 10 out of 12 jurors have to agree.
