Assesment overview

This assesment requires you to comprehend the client’s project requirements and the problem they want you to address. Also, to reflect on your approach to developing recommendations for a solution to the problem provided by your industry partner. This will serve as a roadmap for guiding the project team throughout the project’s life cycle.

Assesment details

Imagine yourself as the team leader responsible for your team’s upcoming task assigned by the client. Thoroughly review the project brief and utilise notes from the client briefing session in Week 3 to comprehend the client’s project requirements and the problem they want you to address. Reflect on your approach to developing recommendations for a solution to the problem provided by your industry partner. This serves as a roadmap for guiding the project team throughout the project’s life cycle.

1. Firstly, drawing from your comprehension of the project brief and insights acquired during the client briefing session, concisely outline the project requirements as specified by the client.
2. Secondly, articulate your plan in a table that covers the following key areas:

• Objectives:Identify three primary objectives you aim to achieve by Week 9 of the teaching period in developing recommendations to address the client’s problem.
• Activities:Outline 2-3 specific activities you or your team will perform to achieve each stated project objective.
• Competencies: Identify the specific skills, disciplinary knowledge, and abilities required by you and your team to complete the outlined activities and achieve the stated objectives.
• Measures of success:Define two specific measures of success that will be used to assess the accomplishment of each project objective.

3. Thirdly, based on the tabulated information:

• Identify the specific skills, disciplinary knowledge, and abilities you have acquired thus far in your business degree that will contribute to accomplishing the identified activities aligned with the stated objectives. Explain how you intend to leverage these acquired competencies to achieve the specified objectives.
• Identify the challenges you anticipate in achieving the stated project objectives and explain the strategies for overcoming these challenges.

Additional information 

• Please be aware that project objectives pertain to developing recommendations for a solution to address the client’s problem and not to your personal goals within this unit. Personal objectives, such as ‘to reach a higher distinction at the end of the teaching period,’ ‘to obtain a higher distinction for assesment 2A,’ ‘to improve my communication skills, ’ and ‘to be the best consulting team’ are not project objectives but rather personal aspirations. For instance, ‘complete the collection of comprehensive feedback from employees regarding their satisfaction levels and pinpoint specific areas of concern by Week 5’ could serve as a potential objective in a plan for a client’s project addressing low employee satisfaction.

Suggested format

Please present your response as a short report. You DO NOT need to include an executive summary, introduction, and conclusion. You may use diagrams, graphics, and tables to present information concisely, creatively, and effectively. Use 12 font size and 1.5 line spacing for formatting the document.
