Section 1 Communication Plan |
Introduction |
You are a new marketing consultant and have been given your first big client to consult with. Your tasks will include
1. Determining the marketing communication requirements based on research and consultation with your client and your manager. 2. Researching and Developing the Communication plan 3. Finalising and presenting your communication plan to the client. All tasks must be completed in the Marketing Plan template provided below, you will need to submit the full document with the various documents embedded into the template. |

Go to the bounce fitness website and access, download and save all of the following documents for reference purposes:
a. Determining Marketing Requirements b. Bounce Fitness Marketing Communication c. Bounce Fitness Client Brief d. Bounce Fitness’s Marketing Team Report e. Media Consumption Habits 1. Using the company information, you have accessed begin completing the marketing communication brief template provided above complete all of the following tasks in section 1.1 of the template in preparation for your meeting with the client. a. Determine the Purpose of marketing communication. b. Identify at least 2 Objectives of the marketing communication and identify at least one product and one service) and expectations of the marketing communication. c. For your identified product and service identify the target audience for the marketing communication. d. Identify the budget allocation for the project. e. Part B Client meeting OBC1 AT1 Client meeting |
You will meet with the client to discuss and confirm the marketing communication requirements.
a) During the meeting it is important that you a. Discuss each of the agenda items listed in the meeting notes page. You must make appropriate notes during the meeting and make amendments to the section 1.1 as required. This will also assist you in completing the remaining tasks. b. Verbally confirm the following with the client i. purpose ii. objectives products and expectations iii. budget iv. timelines v. Target audience c. Obtain any additional information from the client through questioning. The trainer will be observing you during the meeting on your ability to communicate and interact with the client. The following oral communication skills and specific task requirements will be observed: Please log into canvas to access the observation checklist Read the instructions provided Once you have read and understood the instructions, please write " I understand and I am ready for assessment" click submit to continue. The assessor will then set up a time to complete this observation and complete the checklist on Canvas 1. Oral communication and interaction with others. a. use of clear and appropriate language b. Clear and appropriate language may include: c. semi-formal d. professional e. clearly spoken f. no mumbling 2. use of active listening skills a. Active listening skills may include: b. Maintaining eye contact c. Repeating what the speaker has said to confirm understanding d. Section 2 Communication plan Development
Part A Marketing Communication Plan |
Access and review the information you gathered in section 1; you will complete the tasks below using Section 2 of the marketing communication plan
You must undertake and document research to ensure that all of the following requirements are met. a) Write a brief client profile based on the information you have gathered so far. b) Write a purpose statement based on the information confirmed with the client in the Marketing Communication Requirements template from Section 1 c) State your two (2) confirmed marketing communication objectives in measurable terms based on the objectives confirmed with the client in the Marketing Communication Requirements template from Section 1. d) Provide specific guidelines (at least 2 for your product and 2 for your service) on what is to be accomplished by marketing communication. For example, how do you plan to inform consumers about the product and the service? These must be expressed in measurable terms as well. Note: Your measurable terms must address questions such as: o How (Method) o How many? (Frequency) o How will I know when it is accomplished? (Measure) e) Relevant Legal, Regulatory and Ethical requirements. Supply the following example and requirements relevant to the marketing field of work: i. One (1) regulation example and requirement ii. One (1) standard example and requirement iii. One (1) code of practice example and requirement iv. One (1) Ethical Constraint example and requirement f) Research Sources a. In the table provided include all research source you have used to develop your communication brief. A minimum of 5(five) sources must be included and where you have used this information |
Part B Marketing Mix options for product and service |
This part of the project will require you to design an integrated marketing communication strategy and select and recommend media for it. Your marketing strategy must contain all necessary information that will generate a reliable marketing procedure. Specifically, you will be required to:
a) Identify the marketing mix options for both your product and Service: i. Product: What you sell. Could be a physical good, services, consulting, etc. ii. Price: How much do you charge and how does that impact how your customers view your brand? iii. Place: Where will you promote your product or service? Where will your ideal customers go to find information about your industry? iv. Promotion: How will your customers find out about you? What strategies will you use, and How effective are they? b) Identify advantages and disadvantages of your marketing mix for each identified product and service. (you must identify at least one advantage and one disadvantage for both the product and service. c) Compare your advantages and disadvantages to determine the effect on the project. d) Document your final Marketing mix selection based on your comparison and analysis. e) Identify your success measure for each one. |
Part C Communicate the outcomes and findings to relevant stakeholders |
Draft and send an email to your manager (assessor) detailing the following:

Section 3: Finalise marketing communication plan
Part A Prepare the timeline and budget for delivery |
Using the BSBMKG552 AT1 Project timeline and budget worksheet provided in your Marketing communication plan template in Section 3 to complete the following tasks.
a) Plot the timeline for each creative work that is consistent with the schedule established in Part 1 Task 1 of this project. This must include the following: a. The type of creative work b. Media vehicle selected. c. Resources required. d. Individual it is assigned to (responsible person or supplier) e. Start and end date for the task b) Allocate the budget of your creative work in accordance with the overall marketing budget established in Part 1 Task 1 of this project. You may not need to allocate costs in each of the criteria, equipment, materials, labour. |
Part B Present the communication plan and seek feedback |
You will meet with the client (assessor) to present your final communication plan, timelines and budget and actively seek feedback on your recommendations.
Prepare for your meeting using the meeting notes template provided in the communication plan template. You must include all of the following information in preparation for your presentation to the client. i)Marketing communication functions ii)Timelines and resources required for delivery iii)Budget and how you developed the budget (the procedure) iv)You must actively request feedback from the client through questioning. |
