The corporate form of business serves as the primary model to demonstrate accounting principles for cash, accounts receivable, inventories, operational assets, liabilities and stockholders' equity. Students will interpret company performance by analyzing accounting statements and complete a computer simulation which demonstrates computer applications in accounting. Course Credit Description Following the Azusa Pacific University Credit Hour policy, to meet the identified student learning outcomes of this course, this 3-unit course (delivered over an eight-week term) will approximate 180 contact hours.This represents 45 hours of direct instruction plus 135 hours of out-of-class student work.This comes out to 22.5 hours per week.The direct instruction time includes 5.5 hours of asynchronous on-line discussion forums and interaction with the instructor.In addition, the course includes 17 hours per week of faculty-guided instruction plus learning activities and assignments.
