ASSESSMENT TASK 1 - KNOWLEDGE QUESTIONS Assessment type: Written Questions Assessment task description: STUDENT'SPLEASENOTE: You mustread the student assessment instructions prior to completing all assessment tasks. After you have completed all the tasks, you must declare that the completed assessment tasks are authentic and completed by yourself by checking each point in the table below. ASSESSMENT TOOL Qualification:FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping Module name:AC4_2.2 Payroll systems Unit of competency:FNSTPB402 Establish and maintain payroll systems Student ID and name: Assessor's name: This is the first (1) unit of assessment task student has to successfully complete to be deemed competent in this unit of competency. The task comprises of thirty-two (32) written questions which you must respond to and submit to your trainer/assessor. Student must answer all questions to the required level, e.g. provide the number of points, to be deemed satisfactory in this task. Trainer/Assessor is required to provide the feedback within two weeks and notify students when results are available. Applicable conditions: This task is untimed and are conducted as open book assessment (this means student can refer to textbooks) however this task must be completed independently. No marks or grades are allocated for this assessment task. The outcome of the task will be Satisfactory or Not Satisfactory. Trainer /Assessor must assess student's written skills and knowledge as he/she complete this assessment task. The trainer/assessor may ask student relevant questions on this assessment task to ensure that this is his/her own work. Resubmissions and reattempts: Where a student's answers are deemed not satisfactory after the first attempt, a resubmission attempt will be allowed. Location: This assessment task will be completed in a classroom, learning management system (i.e. student portal), workplace, or independent learning environment at Level 2, 401 Sussex Street, Sydney, NSW 2000. Purpose of the assessment This assessment task is designed to evaluate student's knowledge essential to establish and maintain a payroll system in a range of contexts and industry settings & Knowledge regarding to the following: Knowledge to appropriately apply knowledge of relevant legislation related to employment standards, and other legislative requirements regarding payments and look for support from appropriate authority to set up details of relevant and state awards in payroll data for employees. Knowledge to create payroll system for salary packaging and recognise the need for advice from independent advisors and assess scope of BAS agent. Knowledge to make sure that the employee data in payroll system is complete and accurate and evaluate payroll data and clarify any discrepancies.
