Assessment 1	Individual entrepreneur report
Due date	11.59 pm (AEST/AEDT), Sunday 30th Mar (Melbourne time)
Weighting	20%
Word count/length	1,000 words (+/-10%; the reference list is not included in the word count but in-text citations are)
SILOs	Explain the start-up formation process, examine the entrepreneurial qualities, and impact of the context and emerging trends (SILO 1). Critically analyse a business venture or opportunity by examining the offerings, processes and practices to achieve social and financial outcomes (SILO 2).
Feedback	Results and feedback will be available via Turnitin/LMS within three (3) weeks of the due date.

Purpose

This task will assess your skills and knowledge in explaining entrepreneurial qualities and the analysis of a business venture.

Task details

For this assessment, you will submit a 1,000-word report as a Microsoft Word document, critically analysing a current entrepreneur, their entrepreneurial journey and proposed suggestions for future directions.

Choose ONE entrepreneur from the following national finalists of EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 National Finalists:https://www.ey.com/en_au/entrepreneur-of-the-year/australia/meet-the-2025-finalists

Write a report that includes critical analysis and application of relevant entrepreneurship theories/frameworks/concepts/approaches, not just a simple presentation of the entrepreneur's biography.
