Discussion Post 4 I am able to explain the two auditing principles from ISO 19011:2018 in a more personable and casual way. Integrity and objectivity are the two essential auditing standards that an auditor should confirm. INTEGRITY As an auditor, I must approach the audit process honestly, fairly, and impartially to maintain my integrity. I must ensure that none of my personal prejudices or beliefs affects what I discover. Also, I must uphold my secrecy and make sure that any private information I come into contact with during the audit process stays that way. I can contribute to ensuring that the audit process is reliable and credible and that the findings are acknowledged and taken into consideration by upholding this value. OBJECTIVITY As objectivity and integrity are closely intertwined, I must base all my decisions as an auditor on evidence and facts alone, free from outside or personal pressures. I must approach the audit process in a controlled and methodical manner, employing precise criteria or standards to direct my evaluations. So, I can contribute to ensuring that the audit findings are trustworthy and consistent and that the audit process is open and accountable. These two guidelines are essential to carrying out an audit successfully and credibly. I can make sure that the audit process is fair and impartial and that the outcomes are trusted by all parties involved by respecting the standards of objectivity and integrity.
