You have an important assignment. The charity you represent has been invited to pitch the TD Bank. This opportunity doesn’t come along often so give it your best efforts. You will be presenting to the bank using the Pecha Kucha format and your mission is to convince the bank that their employees and the bank’s corporate social responsibility executives should support and work with your charity. This means you have to not only explain why your charity is unique and does exceptional work, but also why the TD Bank is well aligned with the goals your charity aspires to.

Inside information: The TD executives love strong visuals and slides that get directly to the point. They respond well to enthusiastic presenters that have clearly done their homework. Select a real, existing organization/charity that offers volunteering. Choose a charity that you are passionate about and that means something to you. Make sure that your passion for the charity comes through when you present. Demonstrate the variety of presentation skills we’ve discussed in class. The TD executives want to be told a compelling, creative story that inspires them to select your charity and form a valuable partnership.

Your presentation will be created and presented as a Pecha Kucha. Remember the Pecha Kucha format is EXACT. You must follow this format: 20 slides, exactly 20 seconds each. Slides must auto advance after 20 seconds. Total length of presentation is 400 seconds or 6 minutes and 40 seconds, no more, no less. Make sure you practice. Keep track of any and all resources that were consulted or used in the presentation information and make sure to cite all references appropriately using MLA format. This means you will need to include a works cited slide at the end of your presentation. Your citation page does not count in the overall length.

Remember tell a compelling visual story that connects emotionally with your audience. Start with a great hook, tell a powerful, persuasive story and close with an aspirational call to action.

There will be a short impromptu following each presentation worth 5%
