INSTRUCTIONS

Create preliminary sketches and roughs for the brand logo of a fictitious business and then develop a final digitized logo in

Illustrator or InDesign. Clipart may not be used for this project; your logo must be your original work.

Process and Specs:

1. Begin by reviewing the logo design presentation from last week for appropriate characteristics of logos. Also, view this week's design process presentation for clarifications on thumbnails and roughs.
2. Develop a minimum of 10 thumbnail sketches for your desired logo (on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper; scan or take a quality photo and submit as JPG)
3. Once the direction for the best logo is found in the thumbnail sketches, develop 3 rough variations based on that sole thumbnail sketch, to develop it further. (also on an 5 x 11 sheet; scan or take a quality photo and submit as JPG)
4. Choose the best rough out of the three. Create your logo in Illustrator in a 5 x 5 inch document.
