The Australian Curriculum: Mathematics and Science (ACARA 2018) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) (DEEWR 2009).

Teacher resources:
It is essential that the learning experiences/lessons are informed through reference to quality teacher resources.
A minimum of three teaching resources overall is expected.
These resources support teachers to plan for children's learning and collectively provide:
background knowledge of the importance of knowing your learners and the impact of the learning environment;
the development of mathematical and/or scientific concepts/processes, and insights into how children develop these understandings; and
possible learning experiences, how they could be adapted and/or modified to differentiate the experience for all children.
