Case Study – 1: Conduct a meeting with stakeholder and discuss about the detailed drawing
Tasks:
o Get the detail drawing from stakeholder and discuss the purpose of the drawing.
o Discuss the scope of the drawing.
o Discuss the about the details of the drawing and grab the information required.
o Review the drawing and its given dimensions, scales, units, and coordinate systems.
o Gather organization chart to identify workflow and supervision.
o Identify the point of contact and supervisor of this project.
o Study Organization policies and adhere your work with it. (Trainer will provide the WHS policies and organization chart for the student)
o Use meeting agenda and meeting minutes template provided below
Stakeholder will give the 2D Sketch with some missing dimensions.

Case Study – 2: Conduct a meeting with stakeholder and discuss the drawing again.
Tasks:
o Ask for the missing dimensions which are essential for a complete drawing.
o Confirm the drawing with stakeholder.
o Prepare a 2-D sketch in AutoCAD with correct and verified dimensions.
o Identify the presentation equipment(Paper drawings/3D model or PowerPoint presentation.
o Use meeting agenda and meeting minutes template provided below

Case Study – 3: Access the inbuilt Floor plan sample file from AutoCAD library.
Tasks:
o Open the AutoCAD software.
o On the dashboard, find the floor plan sample.
o Check the filing system and Library system in the AutoCAD
o Open the .dwg file and develop the understanding of the floor plan.
o List down the features those will be required to complete this drawing.

Case Study – 4: Setup the workbook template and save the template
Tasks:
o Open the AutoCAD software.
o Setup the units and dimensions.
o Access various workbook and switch between Drafting and annotation, 3D basics, 3D modelling.
o Explore the option menu and its feature and change the theme.
o Change the cursor size from option menu.
o Save the template for future use.

Case Study – 5: Use the various drawing and modifying toolbars.
Tasks:
o Draw a line and annotate the dimensions (try to draw from ribbon and command line).
o Draw a polyline, circle rectangle, ellipse, and arc.
o Hatch some portion and change various hatching styles.
o Try various modifying tools such as copy, move.
o Use trim, fillet, chamfer, mirror, array tools, and offset.
o Change dimension styles.
o Draw this drawing and save the file with .dwg extension.
o Print the sketch.

Case Study – 6: Prepare a 3D model of the given 2D sketch
Tasks:
o Understand the Top View, Front view, and Side view of given drawing.
o Based on the given Multiview drawing prepare a 3D model.
o After preparing the 3D model generate different views.
o Print the model in 2D sketches.
o Compare the given 2D sketches with the prepared sketched.
o Explore Extrude, Loft, Sweep, Revolve, Union, Subtraction, and Intersect feature in 3D CAD model.
o See the 2D wireframe model, realistic model, and different model to visualize 3D model.
o Discuss the problems faced during the model preparation with instructor.
o Save the drawing in .dwg format and 3D model in .iges format
o Close AutoCAD and check maintenance of your workspace.
o Create Bill of Material in Excel required to print 3D model.
