Project based learning concentrates on establishing problem solving and critical thinking skills in the pupils. It is based on questioning learning method to resolve the issues offered as projects to the learners is a form of active learning (Blumenfeld et al., 1991). Project based learning incorporates understanding and implementing when a learner applies what they understand to resolve genuine issues with intentions to generate outcome the are important (Blumenfeld et al., 1991).
The reason of selecting the project-based model is that there is a specific scope, resource and agenda for an activity to implement and handle resources to acquire the desired outcome. This feature is absent in Universal Design Model and Tomlinson model where the focus is to incorporate unique needs to combine together to form a learning practice with the help of teachers. However, there is a lack of active learning and problem-solving skills development. Similarly, the thinking curriculum model of learning allows students to learn through their thinking abilities (Nisbet, 1993).
