It is important for the beginning Registered Nurse to develop an understanding of the role of these in the formation of their professional identity for practice. Reflection on these concepts provides insights into how these standards are applied to inform the care process and professional practice.

Reflection on practice is an essential aspect of clinical reasoning, providing insights for continuous practice improvement and ongoing professional development.

Instructions

To complete this assessment, you must:

  • Identify and reflect upon the nursing professions regulatory standards, codes and guidelines that underpin the nurses approach to professional nursing practice. These were examined and discussed across weeks 1 – 3 (Module 1 – 1.3)
