Submission Details

Submission through LMS Moodle. Please make sure that you have put the writing through Turnitin before you submit it for assessment.

Please submit one MS Word document. Tasks submitted in any other format will not be assessed.

Grading Criteria and Feedback

  • The writing demonstrates that the student has done the set reading;
  • Demonstrated capacity for analysis and argument;
  • Quality of discussion;
  • Demonstrated capacity for academic writing;
  • The writing is presented appropriately for an academic assessment task, namely: the task that has been done is the one that is set; the

work has been submitted as a single MS Word document; the writing has an appropriate title; student name and number are on every

page; pages have been numbered; text is left justified; and font is clear and the equivalent of 12 pt Times New Roman

  • Proper referencing is attempted, and is in APA 6 style.

Draw on the materials to form your own views, perspective, or argument to create a critical review of ONE the following readings:

‘Theory and practice of successful school leadership in Australia’ by Lawrie Drysdale & David Gurr OR

‘Developing and recognising accomplished school leadership in Australia’ by Lawrence Ingvarson & Jillian De Araugo

NB: Both are on the LMS in the Assessment section.

Your assessment should be a maximum of 2,000 words (including references). For an assessment piece of this size, we would expect to see around 10 references.
