PUB102 - Task 3b Written Critical Literature Review

Task description: 

• Write a critical review on one of the below topics from the socio-ecological perspective of human health

1. Sustainable food production 
2. Desalinating water for human use   
3. Ocean acidification 

(b) Ensure you apply the systems thinking concepts in an ecosystem context and discuss human health within the Biophysical (biological-physical-chemical) and Socio-economic (including political) environments as outlined in the Butterfly Model of Human Health

(c) You must provide a minimum six academic references, two of which are peer-reviewed journal articles. All references must be from the last 7-9 years (e.g. 2013 and onwards)

A satisfactory review will use the following mixture of academic references:

• Peer-reviewed journal articles (at least 60%)
• Textbooks (up to 20%)
• Carefully selected web-based resources (no more than 20%)

(d) Assignment Structure:  Word Limit 1500 words 10% +/- (excluding tables, figures & references)

1. Title page – title, name and date 
2. Introduction (about ½ page)
3. Main body – (use appropriate subheadings related to the different perspectives of the issue)

4. 4. Summary/conclusion

1. References – Harvard style required
2. The word count should be detailed at the end of your report and should not exceed 1500 words
