ENG80001 Engineering Master Thesis - Research Project

PART A: Unit Summary

Students will work on an approved project under staff supervision using the research methodologies previously introduced in the Masters program. Students can work individually or in a group of up to 3 person. The project maybe university or industry based and must be approved by the program co-ordinator. Projects will require a literature survey and a theoretical or experimental investigation to test a hypothesis and provide definitive recommendations and conclusions. There is a requirement for monthly progress reports to be submitted to the supervisors during the semester. Total student time spent on the project is expected to be a minimum of 250 hours.
