Assessment Instructions to students

You’re database will contain lists of key industry people to contact with the hope of securing work experience possibilities in the future. This could be in the form of assisting stylists, dressing talent at Fashion festivals, working on runways, assisting on a film set or any other form of styling work you may find.

It is essential to develop leads and start networking with your industry peers to establish contacts.

You will need to establish a timeline for contacting the various individuals or organisations and implement a meeting or discussions around work experience.

Establish a list of potential contacts who are willing to offer work experience, mentoring, paid placement, 
internship.

Generating networking contacts.

You will need to research the following and establish who the key personnel are:
All contacts should contain the following details: Name, phone number, email, website

• Sheet 1- Events: Fashion events and key personnel. for example Events- VAMF, VRC, MSFF etc.
  
• Sheet 2- Personnel: Creative agencies, bloggers, freelance fashion stylists
  
• Page 3- Crew: Photographers, make up artists, talent. EG Photography students for potential collaborations. RMIT,
  
• Page 4- Fashion: Designers, retail stores, PR contacts Upcoming fashion design students
  
• Page 5- Accessories: jewellery, shoes, millinery etc
  
• Page 6- Specialty items: Printers, model makers etc
  
• Page 7 will detail all contact and correspondence made with the key personnel and work experience outcomes. This should include phone calls, emails and contacts made with industry peers and the outcome either positive or negative.
