Bio

A post-graduate in literature from an internationally acclaimed institution, Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India, I started my career back in 2004 as a copywriter in an online greetings company. My creative potential was well explored there as I worked on creative copies, generated weekly newsletters and created search-engine optimised web content. However, I wanted to challenge my potential further into technical and non-creative content.

Therefore, after 2 years there, I moved on to work with a global multinational company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a senior editor. My 8 years there have enriched my writing skills and developed my editing/proofreading abilities, as I reviewed technical and financial documents/presentations like proposals and citations and worked in teams to create whitepapers. For a certain period, I was also part of the Quality Assurance team there, where I developed an eye for detail and became more quality-oriented in client deliverables.

Personal constraints forced me to leave my corporate job and focus fully on freelance writing/editing in 2014. As a freelancer since then, I have worked on various domains and written on several subjects starting from healthcare, fashion, online gaming, SEO to even pregnancy and pet websites. My ability to mould into different writing needs is my forte. I have always had happy clients owing to my commitment to quality, adherence to project timelines, attention to details and prompt responsiveness.

The majority of my last 7 year’s freelance experience comprises academic writing. So currently, I focus on helping customers with their academic, research-based project requirements that include research proposals, critical reflections, academic essays, case study reports, PowerPoint presentations, scripts to accompany presentations, book/policy analysis, literature reviews, business proposals, etc. I do my independent research and deliver non-plagiarised content within the mutually-agreed timeline. I am well-versed with the various referencing styles – the Harvard, Vancouver, APA 7^th, etc.

I do not overpromise or under-deliver; that is to say, I commit to tasks only when I have received all the relevant information/materials pertaining to the task and have also found the confidence to be able to deliver it.
