Assessment 3: Media Portfolio

Working on your own you will develop a comprehensive media portfolio for a professional sport organisation based on a number of media communication tools (Media Advisory; Media Release; Media Fact Sheet; Media Event Plan including a Social Media Plan) discussed in the textbook, lectures and tutorials. You have been assigned the task as Media Manager for the Australian team and will develop a portfolio for the media in the lead-up to one of the following international sport events:

• 2021 Women's Rugby World Cup (NZ)
• 2022 Winter Olympics (Beijing, China)
• 2022 World Athletics Championships (Eugene, USA)

Please note: It is acknowledged that these events may not take place given the global pandemic. However, preparation of a media portfolio would likely need to occur well before it is known if the event will take place. Therefore, for the purposes of this subject, assume the events above will go ahead. There is no need to make provision for COVID-19.
