In this chapter Kalantzis and Cope discusses the core purpose of literacies in our lives. The chapter also discusses about the importance of education in the practical world (work and community life). 3The method applied in this chapter is a descriptive qualitative study that describes how literacies can come in handy in work place, work life, community life and for the citizens. 4This chapter determines how every student can get equitable education opportunities through new changes in literacies. 5This study tells its readers how can literacies be implemented to different fields to generate higher productivity. The authors have tried to cover every aspect through which individuals can adapt to new technologies. 6The advancement discussed by the authors are possible in the developed countries rather than the developing or under developing countries. 7New changes in literacies can bring about real changes to the society and individuals can adopt these to achieve positive outcomes in every phase of their life. Students can attain equitable education regardless of their social background. 8sThis literature won’t be used as a bases for my study but will act as an additional research.
