Purpose of assessment task 1
Nurses play a critical leadership role in clinical risk management, clinical governance, quality improvement and change management to ensure safe and quality patient care. Reflect upon and critically discuss why patient participation is important in maintaining quality and safe patient outcomes in healthcare. Discuss strategies that Registered Nurses can use to reduce patient risk in practice by including their patients in their care.

Structure:
Your assignment must contain a purposeful introduction outlining some general background to the topic, an aim and purpose and themes for discussion (approximately 10% of the word limit).
The body of the assignment will constitute about 80% of the word limit and provide key arguments supported by literature.
