CHCPRP003 Assessment Task AT1 Reflect on 2 current or emerging early childhood issues or practice
Task Instructions:
- This is 1 of 3 assessment tasks that you are required to achieve a (S) satisfactory result in order to be deemed competent in this unit.
Task overview:
This assessment requires the student to identify 2 current issues within the education sector. Once the student has identified each of the issues they will complete a report containing the following information:
- For each issue an article has been located and included in the report.
- A summary of each issue has been provided and supported by a discussion about what each article says in relation to the issue
- The student has discussed their perspective about the issue and how they feel it is relevant to the education sector.
- The legal and ethical considerations are discussed and there are links to the National Quality Standards and the Frameworks.
- A list of potential resources or networking groups that could support educators with the issue have been identified and discussed.

Conditions:
- This is an individual task that students must complete with no support from other students (Students are not permitted to use learners work)
- This is an individual task that students must complete with limited support from the Assessor (To clarify questions)
- Students must complete the task within the permitted allocated timeframes
- Please make arrangements with your assessor prior to the assessment due date if you feel you require special consideration or permissible adjustments to the task (Not on the day of assessment)
- Students will be assessed as (S) Satisfactory or (US) Unsatisfactory for this Assessment Task
- Students have the right to appeal any assessment decision as per Holmesglen appeals policy
- Students must be observed completing all tasks and criteria outlined in the Marking Guide located in Section E of this Assessment
- Students deemed (US) Unsatisfactory will be provided with a re-submission within the enrolment period as per Holmesglen Conducting Assessment Procedure
- Students must answer all questions correctly to be deemed (S) Satisfactory in this assessment
- This is a closed book assessment
- Students are required to submit this assessment by uploading onto Bright space and/or Submitting a hard Copy with an Assessment Cover Sheet attached with all fields filled in correctly (Full and Correct Name and Student ID, NO abbreviations are permitted
