What do you have to do

The purpose of this assignment is to conduct an environmental scan to identify, analyze, and communicate trend or issue of relevance to Human Resource Development. Your task is to:

1. Select TWO recent*, relevant, related articles from the HRD literature. One of the articles should be from an academic journal.

2. Read and analyse the articles.

3. Write a report/essay that addresses the following:

a) Explain the issue or trend addressed in the articles by briefly summarizing the key information presented in each article.

b) Explain why you believe the issue/trend is significant to the practice of HRD, and describe what impact you think it will have on the practice of HRD in organisations.

c) Make two recommendations for action you believe a HRD manager/professional should follow to deal with the issue or trend. Explain and support your recommendations.

* by recent, consider articles published from 2011 to the current day. This is also applicable for other journal papers that you will use in your assignment.

Your paper should have the following sections:

· An introduction

· A paragraph or two on the analysis of the issue/trend discovered in the articles

· A section on the significance of the issue/trend to the domain of HRD and discuss the impact on practice of HRD in organisations

· A section on two recommendations for action to overcome the issue/trend with evidence and examples to support your recommendations

· A conclusion

· A reference list

You MUST consult & reference a minimum of five (5) academic articles to support your analysis. You need to use either APA or Harvard Referencing System.

Assessment 2: Group Human Resource Development Training Plan (1300 words per student)

The purpose of this assignment is for your group to plan, design and evaluate a training program.

You are a management consultant, and you have been engaged by A & J university. The private university currently has over 50 campuses in metropolitan and regional areas of Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. The Vice-Chancellor, Ali Jas, has asked you to develop a training plan which can be administered across all the campuses, and also in its Melbourne main campus.

Your task is to:

Develop a detailedproposal for the training plan, based on one of the topics below. The training plan should include:
a) A titleand overall descriptionof the plan
b) Provide a minimum of 3training objectives. Please provide justifications/rationales for the objectives using appropriate academic articles.
c) Thetraining methodsto be used and the rationale for using these methods (including a discussion of the principles using academic articles on which the selection of training methods is based).

Assessment 3: Individual Case Analysis (1750 words)

The purpose of this assignment it to conduct a self-case analysis on your career development plan.

In this current age, you are required to actively manage your own career path. This assignment will prompt you to think deeply and reflect on jobs or career or industry that you really want to work in. Your task is to address the following questions in an essay/report format:

Key issues:

1) Where do I want to be?

Some key issues to consider here include:

What are my short-term career objectives?
What are my long-term career objectives?

2) Where am I now?

Two key issues you should address here:

An assessment of my current personal values.
An assessment of my current knowledge, skills, abilities and other qualifications compared to those required for my desired job.
