This policy directs the employee use of social media and must be adhered to, under every circumstance, by everybody associated with the company.
These principles are applicable to the professional use of social media by Boutique Build Australia Pty Ltd. In addition, employees’ personal use of social media in reference to the company must be in compliance with the following guidelines.
- Employees must be conversant with and ensure adherence to the Boutique Build Australia Pty Ltd.’s code of conduct, and other policies in their personal or professional use of social media.
- Employees must be acquainted with the consequences their actions and activities may have on their reputations, as well as that of the company. It must be remembered that the information published or posted by the employees may stay in the knowledge of the public for long.
- Employees ought to be mindful about the content they make available for the world to view through social media. They are expected to make the best judgement in sharing the information that is neither unsuitable nor harmful to Boutique Build Australia Pty Ltd., its employees, or the customers.
- The employees are prohibited to post the content, information, commentary, or images that are*:
- Pornographic
- Harassing
- Defamatory
- Proprietary

- Employees are not allowed to publish or disclose confidential information to the public. The confidentiality of information may be enquired from the supervisor and/or the Human Resources Department.
- Any operational, financial or legal information of the company, in addition to that of the customers and clients, is not to be released to the public.
- Online content displayed on the social media advertising may sometimes attract the attention and questions of the press. The legal questions are not to be answered by the employees. Employees must refer the questions to the spokespersons of the company.
- Employees must seek supervisor’s advice when dialogues on social media turn hostile. They are expected to disengage from the conversation, and/or discussion on a polite note.
- Employees are expected to observe the reference and copyright laws when posting information online.
- The company will not tolerate any dishonorable activity of the employees on social media. This comprises of smears pertaining to race, gender, age, ethnicity, sex, religion, sexual orientation, and physical disability.
- Employees must seek permission of the current or former members, vendors, and employees of the company before referring to them or posting their images online.
- The use of social media must not coincide with the responsibilities of the employees at Boutique Build Australia Pty Ltd.
- The computer systems of the company are only for the professional use of the employees. The use of social media marketing for business purposes is permitted. Disciplinary actions will be taken against the employees using social media for their personal interests.
- After-hour use of social media platforms violating the Boutique Build Australia Pty Ltd.’s code of conduct may result in disciplinary action against or termination of the employee.
- The employees are suggested to keep their personal accounts separate from those of the company.
- Employees are expected to be meticulous in their discussions of sensitive topics, i.e. religion and politics, to discourage any chaos. They are expected to respect others’ opinions.
- Any misleading content portrayed in the blogs will be edited by the company. The company may choose to delete any content violating the code of conduct.
